Animal representations in Prehistory
The Jean-Clottes database, Animal representation in Prehistory (BJC), is a collaborative platform designed to share and promote research data on animal representations throughout Prehistory (from the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age), and to include other ancient, extinct non-literate human societies [Consult]. It was launched at the end of 2022 with depictions of the Ibex [Ibex File].
The BJC is now set to expand with the integration of new entries and the creation of new files devoted to other species.
It was created by INIST-CNRS with Omeka S to integrate IIIF technology for very high-resolution images.
All the information you need to take part in the BJC can be found in [Participate].
