Deer representations in Prehistory

The Deer File of the Jean-Clottes Database, Animal representations in Prehistory (BJC) began in 2023. Inspired by the work carried out on ibex representations [Ibex File], it aims to compile a catalogue of prehistoric depictions of stags and does. Representations of other cervids (red deer, reindeer, etc.) will be dealt with in separate files.

Like all the BJC Files, this one is collaborative [Participate] and aims to bring together contributions from the leading specialists in these representations.
