Objectives and functioning

The Jean-Clottes database, Animal representations in Prehistory (BJC), is intended to become a work and research tool for all specialists in the study of these animal representations and, more broadly, for researchers interested in the role and place of the animal world in human societies without writing.

The BJC is a protected online publication [Legal notice] and [Confidentiality policy]. It operates like a journal, with a [Scientific Committee] and an [Expertise Committee] to examine the submitted texts with the managers of the files in question, before approving and publishing them.

As a collaborative platform, the BJC is open to authors wishing to participate in this project in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the BJC [Participate].
